Hoshido, Ryoma! I challenge you to single combat!
Xander I will accept your challenge, "high prince".
But I'm no general. I am crown prince Xander of Nohr!
(Xander's horse neighs and charges forward. Ryoma follows and they leap into the air. Suddenly, Archduke Izana ducks between the two.)

You don't want to break Izumo's neutrality pact, do you?
I've had to hustle over here three times already to stop squabbles between you two folks!
Normally, three strikes would mean you're out, but I'm feeling like a nice guy today.

Thank goodness he wasn't at this quarrel!
Lady Camilla, I last saw him in the forest last night.
But when he saw me, he took off.
Come to think of it, he HAS been acting weird, hasn't he?
He's been shutting himself in the Northern Fortress every morning.

What suffering lies in store for me?
Don't worry, you won't be harmed.
I have news about the Archduke's punishment.
Is it any less than doomsday?
He made a gentler decision.
You will not be killed, but will be banished.
Don't try to sugarcoat it.
I'm dead, aren't I? And "banished" sounds even worse.
Henceforth, you are banished from Izumo.
But the world is broad and wide;
there are many other places to go.
But the war is purgatory, torture, hell itself;
Being banished from a peaceful settlement
is like being banished from the world.
And being banished from the world is death.
Banishment is death by the wrong name.
It's like beheading me with an axe
with a grin on your face.
You ungrateful boy!
Do you not realize the gravity of what you did?
You committed a crime punishable by death,
but Archduke Izana was kind enough to lessen your punishment.

It's torture, not mercy!
Izumo is the only place Azura and I could see each other.

I-or she, would surely be branded a traitor
and be swiftly killed. But in Izumo,
every cat and dog and little mouse,
every unworthy being can see her,
but not I can't. Even flies can see her now.
They are free men, but I am banished.
I can't talk to her or kiss her or hold her hand...
And yet you say that exile is not death?
Had you no poison, no sharp knife,
no sudden mean of death,
nothing so disgraceful, except banishment?

The antidote for trouble: philosophy.
To comfort you even though you're banished.
"Banished" again? Forget about philosophy!
Unless philosophy can make an Azura,
take Izumo and push it somewhere else,

What, will that wash him out of his grave with tears?
If you could, you couldn’t bring him back to life.
So stop crying. A little bit of grief shows a lot of love.
But too much grief makes you look stupid.
Let me keep weeping for such a great loss.
So you'll feel the loss, but our brother will feel nothing.
Feeling the loss like this, I can’t help but weep for him forever.
Well, Azura, you’re weeping not for his death as much as for
the fact that the villain who killed him is still alive.
That same villain, Cobalnite.
(He's far from being a villain.)
May the gods pardon him!
I do, with all my heart.
And yet no man could make my heart grieve like he does.

Since a while ago, my top priority has been looking for
a suitor for her.
He’s the man of any girl’s dreams. And then to have her...
just say no so nonchalantly? Gods!
If she's not going to act like a lady,
then she's not my sister. I swear. (leaves)
Is there no pity for me in the sky?
Please, Hinoka, don't shun me!
Help me get out of this!
Sorry, Azura, but I'm done with this.
Do what you want. (leaves)
Oh, Sakura, what should I do?
I-I think you should do as Ryoma says. His mind's made up, and Cobalnite's banished...
And Ivanhellsing is a lovely gentleman!
I'm sorry, but I think you should marry him.
You really think that?
From the bottom of your heart?
And my soul too. If not, curse them both.
Well, you succeeded in comforting me.
Tell my siblings I'm gone.
I've betrayed them.
I shall go to Sevenfold Sanctuary to confess
and be forgiven.
That's a good idea.
